Founded in 1998, the 2011 Midnight Madness “3-on-3” will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 with play from 5:00 pm to Midnight.
This tourney features competition for 5th to 9th grade girls and boys basketball teams. “This provides an opportunity for school teams to continue with their play this year in a fun and unique tournament,” said Barb Beckett, YMCA director of sports and tournament manager.
The format of the tournament is double elimination play. There are both boys & girls divisions with divisions being formed by grades. Each team must be comprised of players from the same grade or grades below. Boys and girls may play on the same team, but will be placed in the boy’s division. When forming divisions, teams will be placed based on highest grade circled on this form. Each team is guaranteed two games. Team rosters may not be changed once the first game has been played. The cost is $120.00 per team and the registration deadline is Friday, March 11 at 12 noon. Each player receives an adult sized tee shirt. Individual awards will be given to first and second place teams.
