YOUTH SOCCER LEAGUE OFFERED BY YMCA
The Grand Traverse Bay YMCA will be offering a recreational soccer league this spring. The league is open to all boys and girls from grades K-8. The first games will begin on week of April 11 and continues through the week of May 16. Play will mostly be on Saturdays with some play happening on some Tuesdays and Thursdays depending on the schedule.
Teams are formed by school & special request, and all games are played on local fields. The registration deadline is Friday, March 23. The cost is $25 for YMCA members and $60 for non-members.
Barb Beckett, Y Sports Program Director, says the focus on the program is fun, fitness and the fundamental of the sport. “We not only feature our four core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, but also learning the game under proper supervision.”
