The Grand Traverse Bay YMCA will continue its tradition of providing Lacrosse to the region’s youth. Lacrosse for over 200 years continues to be the fastest sport on two feet. Lacrosse provides hand-eye coordination, running, teamwork, fitness, rules, safety, proper competition, and Y four core values.
This year’s Lacrosse Youth leagues will be open for youth between grades 1 – 8. There will be three league divisions including grades 1 – 4, grades 5- 6, and grades 7 – 8.
Play begins the week of April 4 through the week of May 23. The registration deadline is March 15. The registration fee for the grades 1 – 4 league will be $35 for Y members and $70 for non-members. Both the grades 5 – 6 and the grades 7 – 8 league will be $55 for Y members and $90 for non-members.
Participants are required to bring stick, gloves, and helmet and are responsible to have the proper protective gear to play.
