Klein also placed sixth in the state on vault and eighth on both beam and all around to lead the Level 5 team with four medals.
Annemarie Jenkins came within a quarter of a point of a state championship of her own on bars, taking the second place silver medal on that event along with a third place finish on vault and a fourth place finish all around.
Kayla Brady, Darby Drake and Jade Turner also competed for the YMCA team, qualifying for the National Division, the highest Level 5 division, in their first year competing at the state meet. Drake tied for sixth on vault, Turner placed tenth on beam, ninth on bars, and tied for tenth on floor, while Brady tied for tenth place on vault and beam.
The YMCA’s Level 7 team closes out their season as they compete in their state meet to be held in Kalamazoo this weekend.
