YMCA Gymnasts Win Hartland All American Meet

FOUR – Jade Turner led the YMCA’s Level 5 team with a fourth place individual all- around finish, including a 9.225 fourth place beam routine, and a 9.25 third place vault. Level 6 gymnast Samantha Neddo also placed fourth all-around in her division, bolstered by a 9.125 second place floor routine.
THREE – Turner’s fourth place individual score was part of a team effort that earned the Level 5 team a third place all-around team finish. Sierra Klein’s third place vault and strong support from teammates Darby Drake, Kayla Brady, and Annemarie Jenkins helped the cause. At Level 7, Francie Flores placed third all- around, thanks to a 9.55 second place vault and a 9.525 gold medal floor routine.
TWO – Kayla Jackson led the list of YMCA second place finishes with a 36.225 all- around bronze medal award. In typical steady fashion, Jackson
ONE – Once again, Annie Gerstner and Kendra Benak led the YMCA’s Level 7 team to a first place gold medal with individual first place all-around scores. Gerstner’s 9.65 first place vault was complemented by second place beam and floor routines, and a third place score on bars. Benak’s first place individual all- around result came by way of first place finishes on bars and floor, a second place vault, and a third place beam routine. As a team, the Level 7 gymnasts won vault and floor and placed third on bars and beam to earn them the all-around gold medal.
FUN – The YMCA’s 24 fun meet gymnasts (Level 3 – 4) also competed at Hartland, bringing home 96 awards in all.
